About Us

At Century Guild Woodcraft, we build beautiful items to last. Whether making a chest of drawers or remodeling a 100-year-old barn, our work is united by solid craftsmanship and exquisite detail, often incorporating reclaimed wood and upcycled hardware. Our name honors the original Century Guild, a group of Victorian-era smiths and woodworkers fed up with the shoddy look and shady ethics of mass-production. In a similar age of disposable, assembly-line home decor, our custom furniture and creative remodels are truly one-of-a-kind.

Our Workers

We are a family-owned company made up of Michael and Rachel Dovey. Michael has worked in shops since he was 6, but has been a finish carpenter and woodworker professionally for fourteen years. He's honed his craft on high-end remodels in Seattle and homes, restaurants and art galleries in Sonoma County. Rachel is an award-winning writer as well as Century Guild's Communications Coordinator. Their 700-square-foot workshop sits behind their Sebastopol home, which they share with a constantly creative seven year old daughter and an ever-on-the-move, one year old son.
